Trezor Adds Support for SOL and SPL Tokens in Hardware Wallets
Trezor, the web3 hardware wallet maker, has integrated support for SOL and SPL tokens on its Model T and Safe 3 devices. The Trezor Safe 3, priced at $79, incorporates an additional security layer with a unique chip. For $179, the Model T features a touch screen interface, providing users with the ability to send, receive, and exchange assets, supporting a vast array of over 8,000 coins and tokens.
SOL is the native token of the Solana blockchain, and SPL is the token standard on Solana, similar to Ethereum's ERC-20 standard. The recent surge in Solana's trading interest and search engine queries coincides with Trezor's announcement of SOL and SPL token support.
Solana has experienced a notable price increase in recent months, rising from around $22 in early October to $80.34 as of the latest data. The surge in Google searches for 'Solana' by 250% from early October to mid-December further reflects the growing interest in Solana's ecosystem.
